We are working with other South Island clubs to coordinate dates ASAP.
The iconic Christchurch female-only Gravity Canterbury, Girls on Dirt weekend is always a fun event! Known for its supportive vibes, meeting new friends and just having a blast, these races ensure everyone is welcome - all ages and all stages.
So whether you enter one, or both races, be a volunteer marshal, or a spectator to cheer the ladies on, or just buy the T-shirt - get involved and feel the joy! You do NOT want to miss out. After all, girls love dirt too!
What to Expect! - The Enduro 2027
The MTB race with cruisy uphills with the spectacular views of the Alps, and thrilling descents at the Crocodile MTB Park. In this race, the short uphill stages are not timed so you can go as slow as you like (you can even walk) but then you get to descend time and time again, four times in fact, with an additional stage 5 (and more technical) track for the Advanced course.
The Course
Course will be announced prior to the event.
First Timers - You could not get a more perfect race than this for a first time racer. With its chill vibes YOU are in control. You choose the pace at which you ride the up to the start, how long you need to recover and how long you leave between riders. All tracks are Beginner/Intermediate, wide and sweeping. There are some obstacles on the way but there is always an easy ride around.
After the race we finish the day by gathering together to celebrate our personal wins, the podium winners, thank our event partners and maybe win a spot prize. We have a huge amount of prizes to give away including the ‘MVP’ Most Valuable Player, from Mons Royale and two hand crafted trophies.
Protection requirements
Full face downhill rated helmets are compulsory
Knee pads are compulsory
Spinal protection is strongly recommended
Gloves, elbow pads and neck braces are recommended

After a lunch break, you will ride the tracks in two timed runs. Your best time is your race time! We’re also working on bringing exclusive benefits to our members — so if you’re racing with us this season, join the club and make the most of it.
