AGM Update Get along to the AGM
Tuesday 21 July, 7.30pm, Cashmere Club (entrances off Colombo St and Hunter Tce).
Free hot savouries for the first 50!!
Just cos the tracks are muddy and it's always raining doesn't mean you can't start thinking about next summer's DH'ing.
The club needs you - so get involved and hear what we want to achieve next year.
Committee members - we need 10 enthusiastic people to help run the club, plus there's a president, secretary and treasurer...This year we want two committee members to be junior riders, plus we'd love some admin/techy skills for membership and website stuff.
Tracks sub-committee - we want 8 riders who know about how to build awesome tracks...
If you're keen on either of these, get nominated at the AGM, or if you can't get there, email committee@gravitycanterbury.org to make sure this happens in your absence.
Subs for 2009/10 - we want to be able to contribute $$$ to the Council so that more track development can happen. There will be two proposals put to members at the AGM to vote for one or other of. Option 1: Increase your sub from $20 to $40, with the extra money going directly to the Council for track development. Option 2: Pay a $5 levy with each Gravity race entry fee (i.e. $20 over the season with the three-race series plus NZ Open). Which option do you prefer?
Plans for next season - based largely on the feedback/ideas we got at the recent Riders' Night, we've got a plan lined up for what we want to achieve next year. We'll go through this at the AGM - it involves YOU, so be there!
